We often hear that there are no shortcuts in life or business—but when it comes to workflow in a digital office space —that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The TLP Team has documented some of our favorite tips, tricks, shortcuts, and hacks into one essential cheat sheet to quickly get you to pro status in programs like Asana, Slack, Google, and Dropbox

What it does

The Advanced Digital Office Hacks Tool (get it free here!) helps you work smarter—not harder!—in some of your most-used digital office programs with simple shortcuts and hacks that you might not have otherwise known existed.

How to put the Tipsheet to work

The TLP Team has made an essential cheat sheet for you so you don’t have to.

  • The best way to put these hacks to work is to use them! Start easy by printing them out or posting notes on your computer or your desk to remind yourself that they are there at your disposal. Reference them regularly, because the more you use them the more you'll remember them and they’ll become second nature to you.

  • Find one that you like? Share the wealth. Your whole team will be more efficient when you’re all in sync.

  • Don't feel like you have to use all of the hacks, take what works for you and disregard the rest.

  • Don't forget to check for updates! There are always new things to learn and more efficient ways to use these programs—this tool is always evolving as new and better tips emerge.

For example, did you know?

  • You can automate workflows in Asana. Many group tasks have to be done in order—with many people contributing to the flow. Creating a task-dependent list means you identify where the baton gets passed between each task--and when things are behind or ahead of schedule.

  • You can right-click references in Slack. Did a message get lost in the shuffle? Don’t re-type—right click on the timestamp and copy the link into your text field of any channel. You’ll save time AND hold the reference point.

  • You can type with your face in Google. Google Voice typing can trim the time you spend on blogs, meeting notes, and team memos. Simple enough to spill your thoughts and sophisticated enough to punctuate, highlight, and add spacing. Just hit Tools → Voice Typing to start!

  • You can set expiration dates and/or passwords for links in Dropbox. This limits access to relevant parties only and it keeps your brain clear to work (and worry) about something else. And don’t worry--if someone important needs access to an expired file link, all they need to do is ask!

We’ve got more cool hacks and time-saving shortcuts like these just waiting for you to discover!

Why Cohort Members love it

  • “This saved us so much time and brainpower.”
No more searching for how to do something you know should be simple and straightforward.

  • “One word: Automations.”
There are so many smart features in every application, but not enough time to discover them all. TLP shows you which ones you’ll most likely want to use and how to easily put them into practice.

  • “This basically gave our assistant an assistant. We’re getting so much more done.”
The time you save is one thing, the mind-blowing realization that someone developed these ingenious shortcuts is just a wonderful perk.
